Crowds pack downtown Galt for digital library launch party
“While Cambridge’s vision to restore Galt’s Old Post Office and transform the building into a new digital library was controversial to some, the community showed its excitement for the project Friday night, turning out in droves for a giant street party to celebrate the official opening of the new library.
Residents filled the streets of Galt’s downtown core late into the evening to take in live musical performances, taste the wares of local food and beer vendors, and engage in creative art and digital activities.
Crowds steadily packed into the parking lot between Water and Ainslie streets to catch a glimpse of a customized digital light display projected onto the front of the Old Post Office building.”
