Dear CFLA-FCAB members,
CFLA-FCAB has just released a posting in search of a consultant to aid in the hiring of a full-time Executive Director. You can view the post at http://cfla-fcab.ca/en/news/request-for-proposal-consultant-for-cfla-fcab-executive-director-search/ .
The current position of Executive Director with CFLA-FCAB has been a secondment from Canadian Association of Research Libraries at 80% time, with Katherine McColgan continuing to work one day per week at CARL.
It has always been the wish of the Board to fill this position as a full-time employee of the Federation and we have spent the past two years working hard to develop a stronger and more stable organization that would support this important step forward.
Katherine’s role with CFLA-FCAB remains the same and she will continue to work with our Board, committees, and members in the same capacity as she has over the past two years to help to grow this important organization while we proceed through this process.

La FCAB-CFLA vient d’afficher une demande de proposition pour un(e) consultant(e) pour aider à combler le poste de directeur général/directrice générale à temps plein. Le poste actuel de directrice générale est un détachement à 80% par l’Association des bibliothèques de recherche du Canada (ABRC). Katherine McColgan a continué de travailler une journée par semaine à l’ABRC.
Le CA a toujours souhaité de combler ce poste en tant qu’employé à temps plein de la Fédération et nous avons travaillé fort ces deux dernières années pour développer un organisme plus fort et plus stable qui soutiendrait ce grand pas vers l’avant.
Le rôle de Katherine au sein de la FCAB-CFLA demeure le même et elle continuera à travailler avec notre conseil d’administration, les comités et nos membres avec les mêmes capacités qu’elle occupe depuis les deux derniers ans afin d’aider à la croissance de cet important organisme tout au long du processus.
