Here are copies of two letters from FOPL to Eleanor McMahon, The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport.
The first one is our welcome to her new role as Minister after the Culture Strategy Launch at AGO where we met her.

The second letter is about our concerns about the cuts to connectivity funding (through SOLS) and the worrisome lack of commitment for funding in 2017 during our budgeting period this autumn.
Many members has asked about the SOLS connectivity funding for 2017-18 fiscal year as you work on your budgets for submission over the autumn. At this point the Ministry has no news about continued connectivity funding. Also, SOLS has exhausted the fund committed to date and has sent an e-mail to those whose funding is cut by up to 50% (although First Nations libraries were protected for this year).
