Hello,

As part of our goal to provide you with helpful information throughout these difficult times, we’re sharing the results of our most recent survey on COVID-19 (the coronavirus), conducted in partnership with the Association for Canadian Studies (ACS) and published in The Canadian Press.

Our June 9, 2020 edition also reveals that…
  • 68% of Canadians intend to get the COVID-19 vaccine when it is available.
  • Compared to our last Weekly COVID-19 Pandemic Tracker, more Canadians report they wear a mask when grocery shopping (+8%), going to the pharmacy (+7%), and/or working in their office/workplace (+7%).
IN THE NEWS: PROTESTS AND RACISM

Every week we survey Canadians and Americans about current events related to COVID-19. Today’s report also includes some results related to the current protests underway in the United States, as well as Canadians’ and Americans’ views on racism.

  • 72% of Canadians support the protesters involved in protests about systemic racism in the United States.
  • 68% of Canadians think relations between police officers and visible minorities in their area are better than in the United States.
