State of the Ontario Nonprofit Sector: Three months into the COVID-19 crisis

The Ontario Nonprofit Network (ONN), the Assemblée de la Francophonie de l’Ontario (AFO) and the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) have partnered on a bilingual survey of the sector to gather evidence and stories of the impact of COVID-19 on nonprofits, charities and nonprofit social enterprises.

We know many organizations are facing challenges and some are struggling to keep their doors open.

ONN and AFO conducted COVID-19 surveys in March/April 2020 that revealed early impacts on the pandemic. The data have been crucial to understand the impact the pandemic and emergency closures have had on organizations, and coordinate supports and advocate to government and other funders for financial and regulatory needs.

State of the Ontario Nonprofit Sector: Three months into the COVID-19 crisis will collect new data from across the sector to reflect the realities now for organizations.

With your participation, this survey will allow us to share critical information, data and analysis to support granting and relief efforts by governments, agencies, and other funding and response networks.

Your voice is essential for credible data as part of the evidence-based research.

Help us identify the current capacity of nonprofits to meet organizational and operational needs, community demands, and what tools and responses are needed to support organizations across the province.
