I am pleased to tell you about a new project that our Ministry has funded to increase volunteering in the province.
A legacy project for the recent Pan Am/Parapan Am Games, SPARK Ontario/ÉLAN Ontario is a new online platform that will support volunteering in Ontario, particularly areas where volunteering services are not currently available.
SPARK/ÉLAN is currently looking for support in spreading the word about the site amongst non-profits and potential volunteers.
How you can help:
– Share the attached information primer within your networks
– If you are a non-profit, please join the site, upload your opportunities and tell your stories
– Become a Community Champion and promote within your personal and professional networks. Community Champions have access to a digital toolkit (graphics, GIFS, video) on the site at:http://www.findmyspark.ca/toolkit-signup OR http://www.findmyspark.ca/fr/toolkit-inscrire
As ÉLAN/SPARK Ontario is the first bilingual volunteering site in the province, there is particular interest in connecting with non-profits working with the Francophone community and the contribution of French volunteering opportunities.

Je suis heureuse de vous parler d’un tout nouveau projet que notre ministère a choisi de financer, dans l’objectif d’augmenter le bénévolat dans la province.
En tant qu’initiative patrimoniale pour les jeux panaméricains et parapanaméricains ÉLAN Ontario/SPARK Ontario a pour but de soutenir le domaine du bénévolat en Ontario. Plus spécifiquement en région non desservie par un centre d’action bénévole.
La prochaine étape pour ÉLAN/SPARK est de solliciter votre soutien afin de faire passer le mot parmi les organismes à but non lucratif et les bénévoles potentiels à propos de notre site web.
Voici comment vous pourriez aider :
— Partagez l’affiche d’information parmi vos réseaux — Si vous représentez un organisme à but non lucratif : créez un profil, téléchargez vos occasions de bénévolat sur notre site et racontez vos histoires — Devenez un Champion communautaire et faites la promotion parmi vos réseaux personnel et professionnel. De plus, puisqu’ÉLAN/SPARK Ontario est le premier site web bilingue dans la province dédiée au bénévolat, nous avons un intérêt particulier à réseauter avec les organismes à but non lucratif francophones et à promouvoir leurs besoins en bénévoles.
