FOPL had a great time at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference in Ottawa this week. Shout out to the Ontario Library Service and their Executive Director Mellissa D’Onofrio Jones for partnering on our booth in the tradeshow. We were joined by a few local CEOs as well who came out to talk libraries and support the advocacy work that we do. Thank you for all your help and support! ED Dina Stevens was also part of a panel that promoted libraries as critical social infrastructure and the ways municipalities and their libraries can come together to support shared community goals.
We had excellent conversations with a variety of municipal and provincial stakeholders. People love to talk about their libraries and flash us their library cards!
