Libraries 2020

In 2009, Libraries 2020 gave Ontario’s public library community a look at the 2020 – Transformation – People, Service, Space. Workshops that followed over the next few months helped libraries to plan and gave rise to Emerging from the Symposium:Libraries 2020 and Province-Wide Consultation.

Libraries 2025

This new Symposium for Ontario’s public library community will feature dynamic speakers looking towards 2025 and identifying important trends. It will be held in Toronto on April 30, 2015. Libraries 2025 is a project of the Future Plans component of the $15 million dollar investment in public libraries from the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport through Southern Ontario Library Service and Ontario Library Service – North.

Our Purpose

  • To project the environment of Ontario’s public libraries in 2025 through a discussion of environmental trends.
