The Federation of Ontario Public Libraries submitted to the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport an updated proposal to increase public library operating grants based on 2011 Census and CPI data. To ensure equity on a per capita basis across the province, the funding envelope now being requested is $50.9 million.
