How to respond to an economic crisis: Softening the blow of COVID-19

COVID-19 will undoubtedly have severe economic consequences, and it will take strong responses from both businesses and governments to minimize the impact.

This panel will discuss the impact that COVID-19 will have on the economy both domestically and internationally, and how businesses and governments can best respond. The panel discussion will feature the Dean of the Rotman School of Management, Tiff Macklem; former CPPIB CEO and former BlackRock executive, Mark Wiseman; and President of the Canadian Labour Congress, Hassan Yussuff. Moderated by Editor, News Features and Special Projects at the Wall Street Journal, Elena Cherney.

In lieu of our standard ticket sales, we are asking that viewers make a donation to a great cause. The United Way has launched a local response to this global crisis. The Local Love Fund will help some of our community’s most vulnerable friends and neighbours get the supports they need.
