Toronto Public Library shared this obituary for Linda Mackenzie.
Linda passed away last Thursday after an extended illness. Linda was TPL’s Director Research & Reference Libraries from 1998-2016 when she retired. As a member of the senior management team, Linda’s leadership supported the transformation of Toronto Public Library during its early post-amalgamation years and beyond. Linda was a passionate public library advocate who led many provincial and national initiatives. Linda was a founding member of the Federation of Ontario Public Libraries.
