Girls Who Code Updates for the FOPL
Girls Who Code has now launched over 240 Clubs in 9 provinces across Canada within our first year. The map below provides a snapshot of the amazing progress we’ve made in our first year. We truly could not have done it without you!
NEW RESOURCE: COMMUNITY PARTNER DASHBOARD
Great news! You now have access to a Community Partner Dashboard on Girls Who Code HQ, a new resource that will help you keep track of the impact that our partnership is having on girls in your network. The dashboard includes Club details, contact information, and more.
For instructions on how to access and navigate your Community Partner Dashboard, please review this Instruction Guide. Enter the following code when you are prompted to enter your Community Partner Code: CP6438.
NEW RESOURCE: INTERNATIONAL CLUBS VIDEO
We’re also excited to share our new Clubs Video, which provides a brief overview of our Clubs program. We’ll be adding this resource to the outreach toolkit, but please feel free to share broadly!
MEET OUR TEAM: UPCOMING EVENTS
Girls Who Code will be attending the following events early 2020. Please do let me know if you or a colleague would take the opportunity to meet at the events below:
OLA Super Conference, January 30-31, 2020 (Toronto, Ontario)
Calgary City Teachers’ Convention, February 13-14 (Calgary, Alberta)
WHAT’S NEXT? LAUNCHING NEW CLUBS IN 2020!
Thank you for mentioning Girls Who Code in your communications, it was effective to get libraries in Ontario to launch a Club in the past! I hope we can continue to grow our partnership by reaching even more girls in 2020. If you have a chance in the next few weeks, I’d encourage you to use language from our Outreach Toolkit (updated!) to share information about our Clubs program with your network via newsletter, email, and/or social media!
Would you need any additional information to share during FOPL Annual General Meeting in January? If so, as always, feel free to use this link to schedule a call with me at a convenient time.
Thanks again for your continued support of Girls Who Code. We are so grateful for our partnership with the Federation of Ontario Public Libraries.
