Strategic Planning Project Team

Purpose: Strategic Planning of FOPL maintains the ability for the organization to think strategically and critically on achieving the pillars of the FOPL. This Project Team will be a key part of maintaining the Strategic Plan, operationalizing it, and ensuring FOPL is working towards it goals. 

Mandate: This Ad Hoc Committee has the mandate to review the current Strategic Plan, in light of the administrative transitions and COVID-19, and make recommendations for a 2021-2023 Strategic Plan. This Project Team shall make recommendations for action plan items for each fiscal. This Project Team will consider if it is appropriate for this committee to be a standing committee with a mandate to review annually the Board’s directions and define a recommended Action Plan for implementation by the Board and its Working Groups, Project Teams, Executive and ED. In such case, it will make a recommendation to the Board for consideration.  

Membership: The Board will appoint no less than three (3) members of the Board to sit as active members of this Project Team.  The Board Chair will act as ex officio to the project team. The Executive Director will act as a staff resource.  At the first meeting of the Project Team a Chair will be elected for the duration of the project.  The Term of Appointment began June 16, 2023 when the Project Team was revived the FOPL Board and concludes when assigned task is completed.

  • Anne Smith. Trustee, Innisfil IdeaLAB and Public Library
