LJ Movers & Shakers 2017: Nomination Period Closing Soon

As the election approaches, it occurs to us that everyone has been a little… preoccupied. So we’ve decided to extend the deadline for Movers & Shakers nominations to Friday, November 18. This way, everyone can clear their caches (both metaphorical and literal), get a good night’s sleep, and get back to thinking about libraries—specifically, the leaders and behind-the-scenes people in and around the library world who are deserving of their own headlines.

If you’ve been thinking of someone you’d like to see recognized—a person you worked with, talked to, or wrote about over the past year, or someone whose achievements you admire—now’s the time to nominate them. It’s time for some good news.

Our 16th annual round of Movers & Shakers will profile some 50 up-and-coming individuals from around the world who are innovative, creative, and making a difference. From librarians and other library workers to publishers, vendors, and others who impact the library field, Movers & Shakers 2017 will celebrate the people who are moving all types of libraries ahead.

The 2017 Movers & Shakers will be highlighted in the March 15 issue of Library Journal and celebrated at a reception during ALA Annual 2017 in Chicago.

WE NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Don’t wait! Tell us about your friends and colleagueshelping to build their library’s (or all libraries’) future so we can let the world know.
