ARE LIBRARIES FOR ALL? NOT YET.

Accessibility has many definitions, but the one most people think of first is environmental accessibility. Can people, specifically people with disabilities, physically enter and navigate a building to the same degree that able-bodied folk can? Creating an accessible environment is important and is often the first step to creating an accessible library, but worrying only about that one small aspect of accessibility is not good enough. I can think of at least six other areas of accessibility which must be addressed if public libraries are going to become truly accessible.
