University of Alberta is offering “Indigenous Canada”: a FREE 12-lesson MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) at https://lnkd.in/gB2B6zx, which explores Indigenous histories and contemporary issues in Canada!

As a treat, Dan Levy (of Schitt’s Creek fame) hosts Q&A sessions with the course professors every Sunday at 3PM EST. Previous module discussions are on Dan Levy’s Youtube channel!

I think that absolutely everyone can benefit from this course, and we are incredibly lucky that Dr. Tracy Bear has taken the time to create and share this free resource, especially as it is includes difficult topics that she has taken the time and mental energy to discuss and explore. Every Canadian has a duty to learn (and re-learn, if necessary!) the history of Indigenous peoples in this country, and beyond. This class is an excellent place to start, or to continue to deepen your knowledge and understanding of Indigenous issues in Canada.
