Updated Version of the IFLA/UNESCO Multicultural Library Manifesto Toolkit Released Online
“From IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations):
The IFLA/UNESCO Multicultural Library Manifesto Toolkit was developed by IFLA Library Services to Multicultural Populations Section (MCULTP) for the purpose of giving practical approaches on how libraries can apply the concepts contained in the Manifesto.
The original draft was created in 2012. In December 2018, we finished a major review of the original English draft and have published it on our website.
We’ve also translated the complete Toolkit into Chinese and published it on the Toolkit webpage.
The final English version was reviewed and updated by Section member Le Yang and volunteer Nicholas Demetriades. The Chinese version was translated by Section members Lan Gao and Jiangshun Zhang.
The MCULTP Section thanks all who have contributed to the creation, review, and translation of the Toolkit.
