COVID-19 grant opportunities

$350M Emergency Community Support Fund

This fund from the Government of Canada will be administered by Community Foundations of Canada, the Canadian Red Cross and United Way Centraide Canada. The focus is on supporting community organizations as they deliver services to those who are most vulnerable to the health, social and economic impacts of COVID-19.

Community Foundations of Canada – Local community foundations across Canada will accept and assess applications from qualified donees through a centralized national portal.

United Way Centraide Canada – Local United Way Centraide members will accept and assess grant applications from charities through local portals. In some cases, local United Way Centraide members may also support non-profit organizations through an appropriate trustee relationship with a qualified donee.

Canadian Red Cross – A national granting stream will be managed alongside regional and local partners to support nonprofit organizations. The Canadian Red Cross will also manage a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Preventing Disease Transition (PDT) program.
