It is painfully clear that Minister Tibollo has no idea of the services SOLS and OLS-N provide to public libraries. What a pity that someone who accepts responsibility for the operation of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport does not feel the need to educate himself on the potential consequences for such massive cutes in funding. Does he really believe that his actions are the way to enable public libraries to provide quality public services for everyone. Of course, he has not indicated if he means high or low quality service, but we know what the public is going to get. Interesting that most of the small libraries are in rural communities where his party gets most of its support. I wonder if they think hurting the “Little Guy” in their ridings will not come back to bite them?
